Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken In Piano di Sorrento (NA), Italy, a small town near my country. The girl in the photo was looking at the sea, with a beautiful light, so I shot the photo.

Time

Tis photo is taken at 20:07, in the golden hours of a beautiful sunset.

Lighting

Nothing.. It's only natural light. It was a beautiful sunset.

Equipment

This was shot on Pentax K-50, with a vintage lens, a Pentax SMC-A 50mm 1.7. I used no tripod, and no flash, because I had to freeze a moment.. so I had no time to set up anythings.

Inspiration

I was looking for something special near the cliff.. When I noticed how beautiful was the light in that moment, and when I saw this girl seeing the beautiful panorama I shot the photo.

Editing

Yes, this is a photo taken just at the right time, it is no programmed, so I did some light post-processing. I only made the girl's skin more omogeneus, and opened the shadows. I also have retouched a bit the colour of the skin ( it was too orange because of the sun-light).

In my camera bag

My digital reflex: a Pentax K-50, some vintage lenses: a 28mm f3.5, a 50mm f1.7 and a 135mm f2.8 (15 blades), a 17-70 f4 and a 14mm f2.8. My action camera (for short videos): a Xiaomi Yi. My travel tripod, and a flash.

Feedback

I'm not a professionist, so I could not give spectacular advicese. Only be attentive to details, and watch a lot around yourself before watching in your camera's viewfinder.
