5 minutes from now
i love you
Whether as slow as a tortoise or fast as a hare
5 minutes from now
i love you
Though, at times, I cannot see you
5 minutes from now
i love you
Whether wind or rain or snow or fog
5 minutes from now
i love you
Though we may grow weak and stumble
5 minutes from now
i love you
And as the persistence of time,
My ghost will travel on.
The road is forever.

I love the poem and this image you have created. How much fun. From foreground dark to background light works very well and lends to the mystic you are creating. The only thing that I might have liked to have seen is the white area under the right hand be cloned out. My eye seems to keep traveling to it trying to figure out what it is then realize it is part of the background. Superb image and poem. Love it.

Behind The Lens

Location

On a country road outside of Madison, South Dakota.

Time

An early summer morning with a heavy atmospheric fog and a pleasant quietness.

Lighting

A perfect time for long shadows

Equipment

Hand held Nikon D5000, AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm, natural light

Inspiration

the strength and love of a wonderful woman.

Editing

My own black and white recipe. I merged three images together to capture her walking at different distances.

In my camera bag

A bandana to cover my bald head, earbuds, wide angle, zoom and macro so I'm ready for anything.

Feedback

think about "creating an experience" for the onlooker. Early morning and early evening provide a dramatic light, but most important is the story your telling.
