It was taken on a horrible wet and windy day which I think really added to the atmosphere of the imageLighting
It was a really wet and windy day, lighting was very flat, but that suited the black and white style of the image, allowing me to isolate the boats and focus on the texturesEquipment

I used a mixture of Lightroom, Photoshop and silver efex pro 2, to really exaggerate the textures on the boatsIn my camera bag

Don't be afraid to get close, remember to think about depth of field to isolate a subject in a busy place, and don't be put off by the weather, drab lighting and lead to some fantastic images, especially in black and white
