Behind The Lens

Location

Well, I took this from my balcony of my house - nothing special, but the view is incredible.

Time

Sunrise time - I woke up to this view at my window, grabbed my phone and ran to take a snapshot of the moment.

Lighting

Natural lighting. What more could a photographer ask for?

Equipment

IPod touch camera. My phone had no charge. Just my luck. Ingenuity and simplicity are intertwined, or well that's the excuse I use for my lack of a professional camera. But an iPhone camera has never let me down anyways.

Inspiration

I'm a 'why not' person. I see an opportunity and take it, even if it meant sprinting outside at 7am in my pyjamas. Worst case scenario, I'd have a bad picture, but I managed to dish out a beautiful snap of the adventurous morning sky - the only motivation I need for a long day at school.

Editing

Just the slight tweaking. I like to keep most of my photos as untouched and raw as possible because sometimes some things in this world are so beautiful, they don't need retouching. I did the slight exposure-brightness altering, but nothing so much that the picture would not be able to match my memory.

In my camera bag

iPhone 6s. A sufficiently charged one, at least.

Feedback

Don't miss a chance because you think the picture may turn out mediocre. Never. Always have a camera on the ready because there's things to photograph all around you and you should never give up that opportunity. Also, take multiple photos at a time so you have options and variations and can later select specific pictures that you feel you personally like best.
