This is taken on a misty morning on Lake Windermere in The Lake District in Cumbria in the UK.Time
This was around 9am in the morning. An hour later the mist had evaporated and it was a clear day. So beautiful when the mist rolls around the lake.Lighting
The mist is everything about this shot. It sets the mood, the lighting, its eerie and atmospheric.Equipment
This was taken with a Fuji Finepix S8000 I think. It was a while ago now. I now shoot with a Sony Alpha A77 mark ll.Inspiration
This was on the shore near my office at the time. I had just arrived at work and the scene was just too amazing not to photograph.Editing
Very little indeed. Boosted contrast and cropped and sharpened, but that's it. The colours are straight out of the lens. Never seen anything like it.In my camera bag

Timing was everything. Within an hour these conditions had vanished. Tip is to always have your camera nearby! This wasnt a photo trip, this was a chance shot while at work, but I always had my camera bag in the car.
