Driving around the Arctic Region of Lofoten, in Norway we felt time stopped and the living hearts skipped a bit. All of a suden we found ourselves in front of this infinite Landscape getting lost in every part of it.

Location
This picture was taken on one of my latest trips to Lofoten this past July, in Northern NorwayTime
We were driving for a while looking for a place to sleep around this mountains, after a long drive we got to the base of a really beautiful peak with views to a small bay, it was starting to get late, but we would never know as the sun never set there, it was probably 21 or 22 when this picture was taken.Lighting
The clouds were moving fast and they were drawing patterns in the mountains, the light was being filtered through this clouds and it was shot exactly the moment when the face of the mountains were on light as well as the beach. The long vertical reflections they were making were a cool contrast against the horizontal waves approaching the bay.Equipment
I used a canon 500D which is not the best camera. The lens was the default canon 500D lens which is actually very good. It's not all about the gear you use but knowing when and where to shoot.Inspiration
I always liked all this pictures you see on blogs and websites where the landscapes catch you and you get lost, big, vaste landscapes where you feel insignificant. I suddenly found myself in one of those huge landscapes, and I took it so anyone that stops and stares can get the same feeling I got when I was there. How small are we?Editing
I always like to bring the bright colours you see on reality to the screen and the possible printed version by touching a bit the contrasts, a part from that, I usually take out a bit of shadows so it looks brighter. I don't really like spending much time processing, just because in the end you come up with surreal results. I just want to show the world my point of view of life through my lens, so a bit of contrast and shadow would make it!In my camera bag
I always take my girlfriend's canon 500D, I once found it at her place and she didn't use it so I took it to give it a second life. I always take with my the Samyang F 2.8/14mm wide angle lens that I bought last Christmas, which is the very best purchase I have ever done. A part from that I usually take the polarized filter and the ND filter, which goes hand in hand with my shutter and my tripod. Whenever I go for a surf photography session I take my canon G16 and the waterhousing of canon as well, and my fins so I don't get stuck in currents!Feedback
Honestly you just have to be in that same spot (at the same time if you want a similar light). It has nothing to do with the gear, it has to do with your eye and the location you are. Anyways I am gonna write down the technical aspects so anyone can try it! There it goes: f 6,3 1/160. Just go out there and keep on trying, don't let anyone discourage you, and invest in trips, not in gear!
