This photo was taken in my pollinator garden bed. My garden is registered as a wild life habitat through the National Wildlife Federation and supports bees, butterflies and hummingbirds as well as other birds, frogs, periodic fox and white tailed deer. I was happy to see my zinnia's starting to bloom and snapped this shot.Time
Every morning I go out and check on my garden beds, when I noticed this beautiful new bloom. I went back inside and snapped this shot with my Cannon SX670HS. The morning light was just right to capture this image.Lighting
I made sure to position myself as not to cast a shadow over the flowers. When the image looked just right in the view finder I snapped the shot. I really like how the morning sun lights up the peddles of the flower but the background is still dark.Equipment
This was shot with a Cannon SX670HS camera, no tripod was used, no flash or added lenses.Inspiration
I was so happy to see the newly opening flowers that I just had to capture them before they fully opened.Editing
I enhanced the focus on the flower slightly. In my camera bag
All I carry is my camera. I am new to photography and have not build up my equipment as of yet.Feedback
If you are interested in taking photos like I am, my main advise is to carry your camera with you wherever you go and snap as many photos of things that interest you. I am finding the more I take photos the more I am learning about lighting, backgrounds, shadows, etc. Practice and practice some more.
