While working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia we found an oasis about 250 kilometers inland. And it amazed me to witness see these Barn Swallows rather damaged from the migration they do staying there to recuperate for 1 or 2 weeks. Countless numbers of them feeding, resting and 2 weeks later completely gone. It showed the importance of respecting nature everywhere and how our completely different eco-systems are connected!
