Location
The photo was taken by my house in the middle of nowhere, also known as Clifford, North Dakota.Time
This photo was taken in the evening when the sun was setting around 8:30 pm on April 22nd, 2016.Lighting
I love sunsets and for me it is my favorite time to take pictures. The lighting at that time of the day is beautiful and everything comes alive right before everything goes into the darkness.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon Rebel T5, with a 55-250mm lens and no other equipment was involved.Inspiration
When I took this photo I was on a walk clearing my thoughts and to distract myself from what was going on in my life. This photo was taken just a few weeks after I lost my twin boys to pre-term labor at 22 weeks. My photography is my therapy and it is my way to express my thoughts and feelings. As you can see there are only two trees in this photo, but actually there are three trees. When I took this photo, I only wanted to show two trees to represent my twin boys that I lost. With the sun setting in the distance between the two trees, it represented that there is light at the end of the road.Editing
I only removed a couple sun spots and changed the photo to Black and White to make the picture simple and keep the focus on the two trees. In my camera bag
Just my Cannon Rebel T5, my two lens 18-55mm and 55-250mm lens. I like to keep it simple.Feedback
Try shooting at different angles, sometimes one angle looks better than another. In this photo there are actually 3 trees in the photo. But how I shot the photo you can only see two. I was trying to capture the sun setting between just two trees.
