Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in 2011 in my home.

Time

I took the photo during the day with natural lighting from the room.

Lighting

The lighting was not incredibly bright, but the flash helped balance the shot out.

Equipment

I used a built-in flash on my Nikon L120 bridge camera.

Inspiration

He was my cat Midnight, he was a loving soul that passed away the next summer. It was my first foray into photography after the point-and-shoot. I liked the ease of use and ability to shoot extreme closeups. I admit I am still learning about photography but I do love it. Capturing images such as this picture got me interested in going to the next level of camera. I have never lost the love of photography, and now that I have learned more about the functions of higher-end cameras I feel my learning experience is just beginning.

Editing

There is a slight adjustment of the levels but not too much.

In my camera bag

I use a Sony A6000 mirror-less with detachable lenses.

Feedback

You just have to be patient with animals and shoot many shots. You will be surprised when you find that one perfect shot in the group.
