Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph in Salzburg Austria in 1999. This field is close to where the movie "The Sound of Music" was made. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground and the branches.

Time

It was in the afternoon. The sun wasn't shining as it was rather cloudy and overcast.

Lighting

Not much sun.

Equipment

I used a Canon EOS ELAN II Film camera with a Sigma 28-300 lens I believe. No Tripod, just steady hands.

Inspiration

The branch hanging there lightly dusted with snow. I wanted to frame the building up in the hills. I also liked the statues and the depth that they seemed to create in this image. I used a Sepia toned film.

Editing

A little editing.

In my camera bag

A couple lenses, and my camera...not much these days. Much more back then when I used film.

Feedback

Always try to see things from a different angle.
