It was under the blistering April sun that my two comrades and I stumbled across the Badavi Linga in Hampi, Karnataka. Badavi Linga, a massive 10 ft. tall structure stands imposingly at the centre of a small, water-filled shrine. But what caught my attention was not the enormous structure, but the priest that resided in the temple. This small sunken man, waist-deep in water held countless stories amongst the folds of his skin and the wisps of hair that were clung to his skin.
