Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken outside in Lake Lure, NC. This is the bloom of a mimosa tree, taken close up. It was taken in the shade giving it a very dark blurred background effect.

Time

This was during the afternoon time when the sun was behind the tree line where I was taking the picture.

Lighting

The shade provided by the trees near a stream was the perfect setting to shoot this moist loving tree close up to provide the dark backdrop for the beautiful natural color of the bloom.

Equipment

I used a cannon camera that was digital.

Inspiration

The mimosa tree has always been a favorite of mine since childhood. It reminds me of playing in the creek on my Grandparents farm, surrounded by these beautiful pink blooms. They smell sweet and wonderful!

Editing

No processing was needed. This all natural lighting and the original shot.

In my camera bag

I have transitioned to using the Samsung cell phone I own now.
