Location
This was taken at the Highlands Village, near Iona, in Nova Scotia. I looked across the landscape, and thought, "WOW! The rain clouds, the grassy path, and the water make for a BEAUTIFUL photo."Time
This was in the mid to late afternoon, when the rain was rolling in. It was about to rain, but I snapped this photo before it did.Lighting
The lighting was just right. Not too bright, not too dark--it really set the mood for a ominous storm and a beauty of a picture.Equipment
All I used was my iPhone 6 and a couple tweaks on the Photos app to brighten and enhance the photo.Inspiration
I turned around the look at the storm clouds, and I stopped. The scene I saw was truly remarkable. I knew I HAD to capture it. The clouds, water, and grassy path were the perfect ingredients for an amazing photo. The fact that the scene made me stop and stare for a while was my inspiration.Editing
All I did was enhance the photo to sharpen it and bring out more of the colors. The first version wasn't as attractive as this one is.In my camera bag

Look to the landscape and water. For me, those are two of the most interesting things that can appear in photos. They never cease to amaze me.
