These lilies have always been beautiful to me, I enjoy the colours and contrast.

Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken on a hike, in Canmore, Alberta. It was a little bit rainy but the flowers were in full bloom and asking to be photographed.

Time

It was around noon.

Lighting

The sun just broke through and gave the perfect light for the shot.

Equipment

I used my Olympus OMD EM 10 with a 60mm macro lens. No flash and no tripod.

Inspiration

The wild flowers were in full bloom and asking to be captured on film. It was a rainbow of colours and they were all so lovely I had to photograph them.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

My Olympus camera with my 60 mm macro lens, 100-300 telephoto lens and 18-55 wide angle lens.

Feedback

Sometimes the perfect shot is right there, in plane sight. Sometimes you have to look a little harder, crawl under bushes or trees. Be creative and let inspiration strike you, look for it anywhere and everywhere. Think outside the box.
