These birds are certainly more vulture than turkey. Despite the unique appearance, turkey vultures are pretty common and are widespread across North America. I made this portrait to highlight the interesting and perhaps somewhat under appreciated turkey vulture. These birds are known for the red on their face and around their beak, but in black and white, only the majesty shines through.
