This was taken on a mobile phone long before I had my camera. I still love this photo though and how decent the quality is considering it was taken on a phone. This was taken at Harlaw Reservoir during the summer. Beautiful views.

A hot summers evening 2 years ago.Lighting
The only lighting that I used was just the natural lighting from my surroundingsEquipment
This was taken with a mobile phone, the Sony SP. This was a couple of months before I got my camera!Inspiration
I loved the colours of the sunset, the ripples in the water, the calming relaxing and happy feeling from looking at this view. I love a good sunset photo so took my opportunity and snapped. Even if it was with a phone.Editing
No processing at all! Just natural lighting. In my camera bag
I usually carry just my Sony DSC-HX300, it's a Bridge camera so no need for lenses. I do carry a spare battery around though as I have found I get snap happy and drain my battery.Feedback
Don't worry too much about getting it perfect. Just take a shot of what you think looks good. Either increasing exposure or decreasing, the shutter speed, try different alternatives and see what you get. I have had some criticism for what I take photos of but it doesn't stop me. Whatever you find intriguing or interesting, just do it.
