Location
Following Hurricane Irene in 2011, the east coast was wet, flooded and there was too much water to be handled. The Great Falls in Falls Village, Connecticut was rushing well-over its normal bounds with run-off from the rain in the Berkshire Mountains. This is the lead-up to the drop. There is a normally a beach for swimming in a little alcove with very low current. I was standing about 25 feet back from that beach - the image is the rushing current as it whipped through the alcove and the beach, then over the falls at high speed.Time
I took this just before dusk, as the sun went down over the trees. The yellow colors are a mixture of the colorful yellow leaves of Ash and Aspen trees and sunlight from behind them, reflected in the water.Lighting

The smoothness in the water was so defined, even to my eye. There were streaks and flashes of change, but the pathways were easily definable and the lines which were created are seen with the same ease in the image. The light, however, made the image worth taking! It added such a vibrant contrast to the fast, blue streaks.Editing
I did only color correction to bring out the contrast of in colors and smoothing/crispness.In my camera bag
