Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken on an urbex adventure. Urbex is short for urban exploration. My girlfriend and I love to visit old abandoned and decayed places. Here we went to see chateau Zakspeed. An (now sadly burned) abandoned place somewhere in Belgium.

Time

It was a beautiful sunny day and we decided to take an urbex trip. We arrived at the location on the middle of the day. That's why the light shines so cool trough the window.

Lighting

Wanted to capture the light trough the window on to the stairs. I wanted to make a shot with light and shadow, dark and light and besides that, who doesn't love stairporn..haha.

Equipment

The only thing I used to make this picture was my mobile. At that time I didn't realy own any equipment. I still make every shot with my mobile.

Inspiration

As we were exploring the site my eyes caught the sun on the stairs and I just thought it looked awesome.

Editing

No post-processing here. Just my mobile and the vieuw in front of me.

In my camera bag

Only my mobile, a mini tripod and a selfiestick.

Feedback

Every moment that someone or something makes you stop doing whatever you are doing because of how that moment looks right then, is worth a shot. Also, Check for empty, abandoned, decaying places. They're everywhere and lots of fun and adventures to explore.
