Project 52 - Week 28 (July 10, 2016) - This snapping turtle was huge. The photo does not really show just how big he was. He looked like he was pre-historic times. He is a very old turtle I am told and he has all kinds of algae growing on him. I photographed him at Evergreen Brick Works and I did the best I could as he was going deeper down into the water.

You did a good job Cher. Your camera takes such great shots - the water here was very murky - my - all the algae etc. on him does make him look very old.

When I first saw this shot I thought it was a little turtle. But know I see just how old he is. Great shot.

Good capture Cher! My son in law caught a snapping turtle once and showed me how much power they have in their jaws. He put a stick by its mouth and it snapped the stick in two.
