This was taken at the Chinocup Nature Reserve where there are several dry salt lakes.Time
This was about 2 pm. It was the hottest part of the day and 45 degrees celsius. I, fortunately, had my car nearby with the air conditioning running, but my wife thought I was crazy.Lighting
The big thing I work on when shooting any subject is composition. In many cases, I will take the same photos in many different compositions to review on my return home. In this way, I have learnt what looks good.Equipment

We have such large spaces in Australia, and this shows what it looks and feels like. I like the old fence posts as they tell a bigger story. Images need to have a story that they are trying to convey.Editing
