Location
The photo was taken whilst on a workshop in Cheshire.Time
This was taken on the first day of the course, immediately after lunch. I was laying down and the camera was set on a fast shutter speed.Lighting
The lighting in the afternoon for the time of year was incredible. The sun shone just as I started to take photos. There are around 12 more in this set of shoots.Equipment
The camera equipment I used was my Canon 70D with the 100-400 mark 1 lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I was trying to get this shot after about 5 attempts, it happened. I was striving to increase my knowledge of action shots. The surrounding areas with the yellow flowers make this photo stand out and the brightness of the grass.Editing
The only post processing was to crop into the image in order to remove the person who was throwing the ball.In my camera bag
I normally take out my Canon 5D Mark iii and my Canon 70D (soon to be updated). The lenses have changed since this photo was taken. I now take out the 70-200mm f2.8 and the 24-70mm f2.8 and sometimes my trusty 50mm lens. If I am not taking photos of animals and i want the close up shots then I take my 100mm macro lens with me. Also in the bag is a pen and paper, cleaning kit, camera cover and spare batteries, together with spare CF/SD cards.Feedback
Patience and lots of it. Take something to lay on especially if the ground is wet. A steady hand is also needed.
