Behind The Lens

Location

In the woods along the Ottawa River, about 30 mins out of the city of Ottawa

Time

It was the late afternoon. I had some free time before work so I went for a stroll in the woods.

Lighting

It was actually quite sunny out but for a short time there was cloud cover which created the perfect natural diffuser

Equipment

Just my Canon t3i with an 18-35mm lens nothing else

Inspiration

It was actually equal parts cool and creepy. I was walking through the woods alone and stumbled upon an old car frame from the fifties, but as I made my way further I found atleast 10 old cars alone in the middle of the woods. This particular car stood out to me as it was a perfect representation of nature overtaking the old metal heap.

Editing

Yes I did some tweaking of the contrast and saturation to really bring out the greens and make it pop

In my camera bag

Pretty basic just my old Canon with an 18-35mm, memory cards, micro fiber cloth, and a mini tripod

Feedback

Go explore the woods, you never know what treasures or blasts from the past you'll find
