I'm fortunate to live so close to The New Jersey Botanical gardens, which I visit every couple of weeks because something new is always in bloom so there's many "models" to choose from. Flowers are Gods gift to us and I love sharing His beautiful creations with others.Time
I go after work which is one of the times to capture the vibrant colors. Early morning would be better but I'm not that ambitious.Lighting
If you can't shoot in early morning or late afternoon, bring something that will cast shade on your subject. But don't forget to change the WB setting.Equipment
I only own one camera, a Nikon D5100 with a Tamron 18-200 mm lense. It's my best friend and I never leave home without it.Inspiration
Flowers are inspirational on their own and need no help to bring out their beauty, which is why I am always capturing them. Plus, I love gardening but living in an apartment makes it impossible to do.Editing

To get a shot like this, you need to see a flower differently then most people do. You need to have the desire to see how each petal is created and how together they form the perfect blossom.
