Behind The Lens

Location

I was walking around s nursery and saw a couple buying this Hibiscus Tree in bloom. I mentioned how lovely it was and that I had ever seen colours like this before. I asked if I could take photos of it.

Time

It was early evening at around 8 pm

Lighting

The lighting was just perfect! Natural light but I also photographed the tree as they were loading it in their truck with was very dark

Equipment

All my photos are taken strictly with my iPhone 6s, no tripod.

Inspiration

The colours if the bloom were spectacular and I had never seen anything like it. It was the only tree in the nursery, so j had to chat with the buyers in order to capture a photo

Editing

I used a "vignette" to make the background darker and did a few touch ups on light

In my camera bag

Only my iPhone 6s

Feedback

Take photos of solo blooms from different angles. Lift makes a huge difference too. I alwYs try different view and both direct and indirect light
