Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Port Mahon Delaware. Used to be a important fishing port. It even had a lighthouse that has been gone for a long time. Now it is mostly a state sanctuary with a few crabbing and fishing boats.

Time

This was taken late afternoon, on a overcast day.

Lighting

Natural lighting.

Equipment

Shot with a Nikon D600, Nikon 17-35 lens hand held no flash.

Inspiration

I have been back to this boat many times. Always looking for a different angle, lighting even whether the tide is in or out. I love the water and anything on it.

Editing

Yes I used Lightroom and Photoshop. I wanted to add some mystery and drama to the story of this forsaken boat.

In my camera bag

I always carry a tripod, lens are 70-200, 17-35, 28-75, and 85mm. Various filters and a remote shutter release. Also lots of cleaning cloths and a blower.

Feedback

The only advise I have is to get off the well traveled roads. When you find something that interest you, think about what you want others to see. Most of all love what your doing.
