Location
This shot was taken beside the river Loddon near the Showcase Cinema in Winnersh near Reading Berkshire.Time
This was a planned morning shoot on Saturday June 4th 2016. I met my subjects at 05:00 AM and this particular piece was captured at around 07:45 AM. I originally started this project shoot a week previously but due to poor lighting conditions I had to cancel and re-book.Lighting
I did originally set up my Apollo Orb softbox for the capture but decided to shoot without a strobe as I was happy with the ambient light. As my subject was placed near a railway bridge (in view) and also a fly over bridge I decided on a more natural looking exposure to enhance the shadows of the architecture in the scene.Equipment
My 5D MK II complimented with a 24-105mm lens.Inspiration
I've always had an image of this type in my head for many, many years. I love the UK 'Mod scene for it's music, fashion and style. The scooter in the shot is custom built and highly influenced by the UK band 'The Toy Dolls. The owner Martin who coincidentally is in the scene, very kindly used his scooter especially for the session.Editing
Apart from the obvious transformation from colour to black and white not a lot.In my camera bag

If you have an idea or a plan then stick with it and have the belief to transform it into an image. I'm always writing down ideas on note pads and occasionally sketching (very roughly) my thoughts for an image.
