Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on my home from work. At one time there was a house on this property as well. But, all that is left is this small abandoned building.

Time

This building seemed to be talking to me. It needed a picture taken of it. It was late afternoon, on my way home from work. I drive by this place every day, and decided the one day to take it's picture, and I'm very happy how it turned out.

Lighting

I wanted this picture to look like it was lonely and forgotten. I think I managed that. I didn't use any special lighting, just Mother Nature's light, did the trick.

Equipment

This was taken with my Olympus, no tripod or flash.

Inspiration

I always thought the building looked lonely, but yet content. I wanted to capture that, and I hope I did.

Editing

Surprisingly, I did nothing, but take the picture, hoping it would come out the way I wanted it.

In my camera bag

I wish I could afford a lot of camera equipment, but, all I have is a camera.

Feedback

If I see something, that talks to me, then I try to capture that. I enjoy taking pictures very much. My camera (Olympus), broke, and couldn't take any pictures for quite some time. But, I didn't give up, I do take some with my cell phone. I did manage to find a camera that someone was selling online, and now I can get back into taking pictures. Mother Nature gives us the best things to take pictures of, go out and fun!
