This is a Crotalus Horridus (Eastern Timber Rattle Snake) I photographed a few years ago on a trail in WV. I spent over a half hour photographing this magnificent animal. Never any threat displays or defensiveness. I left richly rewarded from the experience and an expanded appreciation for these beautiful creatures. I hope to see her again one day so I can photograph her once more.
