Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my front yard in Wingate, Indiana

Time

I remember I had just gotten off work around 4pm, I came home and seen that my day lilies had bloomed.

Lighting

I wanted this photo to look bright and pretty. I did a little editing to it but the flower was already bright orange.

Equipment

This was shot with a Sony cyber shot camera

Inspiration

I have always loved nature, so when I seen this lily I had to try and get a good shot of it. It turned out exactly how I wanted it.

Editing

I cropped the image some and brightened the colors. I didn't need to do much to this image since it was already bright flower.

In my camera bag

I just recently changed over to a Nikon d3300, so with that being said. I keep an extra battery, USB cord, 2 lenses, a notepad for writing my settings on, and an extra SD card.

Feedback

The only advice I can give to anyone is take as many photos as you can. Keep changing settings until you figure out your favorites. I always keep a notepad with me to write down the different settings I try and which photo it was on.
