This is a striking shot and using black and white format has added that extra punch. Love the lines and the texture of this photo an outstanding composition. Not sure if the lens flare was intentional, however it adds to the dramatic effect of the photograph. A shot to be very proud of. : )

Thank you so much! Yes the lens flare was a nice natural touch.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while on a road trip in the Queensland Outback in Australia

Time

It was taken in a hot afternoon While I was struggling in coping with a midday day heat I could not pass by and not notice the stunning majestic look of a tree in the middle of nowhere that was also struggling to keep standing as the heat seemed to have been taken its life away slowly

Lighting

Perfect lighting in a sunny afternoon in the middle of the day Sun was shining perfectly positioned above the tree creating lens flare adding so much to this image and perfect natural light defining the tree well and giving the desired exposure

Equipment

Canon EOS 1200D

Inspiration

The fact that it was a tree with so much beauty and perfectly defining the location where I was It was in perfect harmony with the environment

Editing

It was from Raw to converting to Black and White and adding contrasts I do not post process my images a lot It normally takes me 5 minutes maximum I do retouch giving extra exposure, contrasts, definition, and voila it is ready.

In my camera bag

3 Canons, several lenses around 5, charger, lens cleaning material, charger and batteries.

Feedback

Look around you it is not hard to notice the beauty that many times is not seen as we miss so much Subjects that are big and noticeable can look amazing in different angles Try different perspectives and discover a new way to look at the world It makes your shots unique.
