Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Azhar Park in Egypt at spring time.

Time

In one of the beautiful spring mornings.

Lighting

As a macro shot, it needed an extra source of lighting other than the daylight. I used a Canon Speedlite flash.

Equipment

Canon 5D mark 3, Canon speedlite, Canon 180mm macro lens, a tripod, and a remote control.

Inspiration

I usually go shoot flower photos at spring time every year. This time, my target was to shoot a photo of a flower while it is spreading its leaves for the first time to sun. I saw this beautiful flower and thought of the meaning of birth when I saw its first leaves blooms to witness the first light in its cheerful life.

Editing

I usually do very minor adjustments the sharpness, clarity, and shadows.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D mark 3, Canon speedlite, Canon 180mm macro lens, Canon 100-400mm lens, Canon 16-35mm lens, Canon 24-70mm lens

Feedback

I usually try to identify the idea I want to deliver by my photos in my mind first before I go to take photos in real life. I think this is one of the important advices I can recommend.
