Behind The Lens

Location

This Photo is taken in an abandoned (once very big) factory of fertilizers and glass, next to the right branch of the harbour of Piraeus.

Time

Late afternoon

Lighting

Natural lighting

Equipment

Camera and wide-angle lens.

Inspiration

In an abandoned factory, the steps leading to heaven (with nice clouds) and the broken chair on the left side, inviting for the view.

Editing

Yes the raw-image was post-processed to obtain the HDR effect.

In my camera bag

Mostly I am carrying two DSLRs, the one with an all-round zoom lens (such as 24-120mm in 35mm terms) and a ultra wide-angle or a telephoto lens on the other. I almost never change lenses on my photo-walks.

Feedback

The first thing is to look carefully for an interesting frame. Than to be also careful to select the camera settings and the viewing angle (also the lower-higher) to take the shot. If the light is too low , it is advised to use a tripod or to lean the camera tightly on a "table" or even against a wall to avoid shaking. Take several shots if the subject looks interesting .
