Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on my back deck after a severe thunderstorm. I am new at photography and I'm learning each day. I saw this opportunity and knew it was a great shot and very beautiful.

Time

This photo was taken mid-afternoon. I was sitting on my deck after the storm, smelling the rain that just fell and saw this beautiful leaf with beads of water laying on the leaf like it was floating. I had to lay flat of my stomache to get the angle I was craving with the view of the leaves veins.

Lighting

The lightening was perfect outside, a little bit of overcast. The darkness of the leaf with the light graspes my attention to the detail of the raindrops.

Equipment

I actually used my android camera. My resolution was 2650x1886. I did not have to use a flash and a tripod would not be necessary bc I was laying g flat on the ground to capture the resolution.

Inspiration

The story the leaf was telling. The water laying on top not absorbing into the object. The water setting on top to show the true colors and scars of the leaf like a magnifying glass.

Editing

I darkened the leaf more than the raw to show the imperfections of the leaf and to brighten the water droplets.

In my camera bag

Camera and flash.

Feedback

To have passion in every picture. To know the potential each object has in a picture. To know there is a story in every picture and object.
