I took this photo at one of my favorite places in Kelowna, B.C.....up at Knox Mountain.Time
This was captured during the early evening.Lighting
There is nothing special about lighting. I use natural light 98% of the time.Equipment

When I saw the stair the lead to absolutely nowhere, it made me think of "stairway to heaven". So naturally I had to take a photo.Editing
I prefer to not use too much in the way of post processing, but with this image I felt it needed a bit more of a wow factor. So, all I did was blend two photos together and enhanced the contrast slightly....resulting in this beautiful image.In my camera bag
Honestly, I'm a simple person who enjoys being able to take a naturally beautiful shots. I'm not about fussing with equipment. The only thing I ever have, and always have, is one of my Canon digital cameras.Feedback
My advice for a photo like this: angles and lighting are everything. Now, that doesn't mean go out and buy the best lighting equipment. It simply means, pay attention to natural lighting and the way it highlights what you are trying to capture. Sometimes, this requires a lot of patience, but in the end its totally worth it. Also, with editing...don't go overboard. Make sure things still look natural not fake.
