Outstanding shot - for me it is like a good story - celebrating a great fishing catch. Excellent light and color balance. The title is perfect, while the people on the shot are expressing a lot of joy.

I took this photo in the port of Legazpi City (Philippines)Time
We woke up really early in the morning with the intention of seeing the colorful sunrise. This picture was taken around 7:00 amLighting
There were some perfect factors to make this composition: the unbeatable light of the Golden Hour, the silhouettes against the sun and the reflections in the water.Equipment
I used a Sony a7r with a Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS. This is my all-terrains equipment for travelling as I'm trying to avoid overweight and, besides that len is kind if heavy, allow me to cover the whole range. In this case I used a small table tripod which allowed me to get the picture close to the ground.Inspiration
It was my third time in Legazpi so I already had on mind the spots where I wanted to be at the sunrise and sunset. We arrived the day before from a small trip to Donsol where we were lucky enough to swim with whales shark so all of us were euphoric. I think this picture shows perfectly our feelings at that time :)Editing
I always do my post-processing with Lightzone. This time I add more contrast, I enhanced colors and add some vignetting making a stronger picture. In my camera bag
I am a travel photographer so weight is an important handicap to take in account. Because of that, I jumped to the full frame mirror-less world with a Sony a7r which gives me a high quality with a pretty good weight and dimensions. At the beggining I got a Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA which gives amazing results with such small size. However, I soon felt that it was far to cover my needs. It was not enough wide for landscapes and as a prime lens I didn't get the advantages oz any zoom. Because of that I finally acquired the Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS. As in any zoom lens I lost a bit of quality but I got all the advantages that such a wide range can gives you so, since I got, it has been my all-terrains travel lens. I recently got a light tripod (Silk SBH-100 DQ N) which gives me much more fun in low light photos. Besides that, I always bring with me a couple of filters: - CPL filter: which is quite helpful for bright days, to enhance colors in vegetation and to avoid reflections in come compositions - ND Filter: to play with long exposure picturesFeedback
A was lucky enough to visit Philippines a few times and is an amazing destination. Not only for its breathtaking landscapes but because of the warm of its people. If you visit Legazpi and you want to enjoy the sunrise you definitely should go to the port. Here, you will not only get the best spot possible to take pics of it but you will see fishermen and many locals just taking a walk to enjoy the chilly mornings.
