This photo was taken in Naoussa-Paros, Greece through a window of a medieval Venetian castle on the Aegean Sea.Time
It was a beautiful afternoon in the small Village of Naussau Paros on the Aegean Sea. I could not miss this opportunity of capturing what it may have felt like to be a Venetian looking out onto the Aegean Sea in medieval times. I have always been mesmerized by castles since I was a child - always drawing castles just like the one I stood in when I took this picture. It was early afternoon and it was such a beautiful day. It was a surreal step back in time.Lighting
The lighting and angle of the view allowed you to look out into the light and the ocean from within and through a small stone window that framed it so perfectly. I also had to capture the reflection in the water of the window inside of the castle where I stood which was just as beautiful. A true mirror effect. I felt the reflection of the window in the water inside, along with the view through the window to the outside, had to be captured together.Equipment
This was taken on my Sony digital camera.Inspiration
First, again, I have always been intrigued by and have loved castles (not Disney castles, but “real” castles) since I was a little girl. Most importantly, being in an actual medieval castle - and the first castle I have ever seen in person or been in - while looking through that window, I felt as though it was a deep reflection of the outside beauty of the world, as well as the beauty within your own heart and soul, seen through a small frame, to help one really focus in on what is important in life.Editing

I now have a Canon EOS Rebel T6 which I love and I always have both lenses with me, along with a tripod which I recently got.Feedback
Just to always look for both the outer and inner beauty when capturing anything in life....how you perceive the view through your eyes and then lens, and how it makes you feel, will almost certainly always show.
