The first thing that most visitors notice when arriving at Cheung Chau is that there are no high-rise buildings or cars. The island has a good infrastructure with schools, a hospital, hotels, holiday walk-up apartments and library, but its roots are still in its fishing traditions. Besides the colourful fishing boats, one thing for sure that visitors get to see is rocks, and many of them. There are ancient carved rocks and there are also rocks along the coastal shorelines of the island. The image you are seeing happens to be one of them.
