I was having a day out in Harwich Essex taking some shots of the Harbour and boat activity, and decided to venture further afield and went to Dovercourt to a place called Halfpenny pierTime
Fishermens Piers and Jetty's are always worth a visit there can be some interesting subject matter there, the weather was a typical brittish summer''s day sunny periods and intermittent showers it was mid to late afternoon so popped in the cafe for a cuppa during one of those showers when the sun came out to play i walked along the pier and saw this old fishermans box full of old rope and nets what a treasure !Lighting
Bright Sunny periods so was good natural lightEquipment
I used my Nikon D7100 with the Nikkor 18-140 zoom lensInspiration
Piers and Jetty's are always interesting people at work they aften leave there trademark behind when i saw this i thought it was so colorful i could not resistEditing
yes just basic stuff like cropping and adjustments to brightness etcIn my camera bag
It depends on where I am going and what i am doing for a trip like this, it was my nikon plus my Nikkor 18-70 zoom a sigma 10- 20 wide angle Metz flashgun and a polarizing filter plus cleaning clothesFeedback
Always take a look round the corner especially when visiting interesting places where there is some light industry you never know what you may find For all the Newbies and rising stars you are part of the viewbug community if you see something you like and want to know "how was that done" don't be frightened to ask
