Behind The Lens

Location

I live by Limfjorden in Nibe, Denmark. The place I took the photo is somewhere outside the city, I often bikes to. it is a peaceful place on the water.

Time

The photo was taken in the evening just after sunset. I vat home and could see the clouds that there was a magical sunset on the road, I jumped on the bike with the camera and tripod and drove down to the fjord

Lighting

The light was very special this evening and it was an amazing red color in the clouds

Equipment

My camera, a Nikon D7200 with my Nikon 12-24 f4 is the combination I almost always use landscapes. it sits on top of a tripod Triopo. I use mirrorup and a cable release for this kind of pictures

Inspiration

The light and the clouds were very special this evening, it gave a very special atmosphere in the picture

Editing

The image has been a small trip through lightroom and has been adjusted: white balance, curves, highlights, shadows and color saturation / luminance in HSL panel.

In my camera bag

In my bag I always have: my Nikon D7200, Nikon 12-24 f4 Nikon 35 1.8, Nikon 50 1.8 and a Nikon 85 1.8. in bags, there is also always a sb 700 speedlight with a CTO and CTG gels. my cable trigger / intervalometer and an infared nikon trigger is also in the bag. I have also always a wrench to tighten the stand and with the screws in my tripod tend to rattle loose :-)

Feedback

It helps to know the area you are in and know the weather so one can predict how light will be, I move around a lot in my local area so I know where I have to run over to the light is right in relation to the site
