Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Mindelo, São Vicente, Cabo Verde. It was taken near the city harbour.

Time

This is one of my favourite pictures. It was taken at the end of the day when arriving at the Mindelo harbour on a boat trip from the nearby island of Santo Antão.

Lighting

Sunsets aren't easy pictures to be taken. But when you have lighting like this one you just can't miss it.

Equipment

I used my 'oldie' Nikon D70 and a 80-200 f2.8 lens

Inspiration

The sunset was incredible... I just couldn't miss it

Editing

I used photoshop to enhance the colors

In my camera bag

At the time wherever I went my trustful Nikon D70, my 17-35 mm, my 50 mm and my 80-200 mm lenses came along.

Feedback

Capa always said: If the picture isn't good it's because you weren't close enough. Well, for me, on this one, I think I couldn't be closer.
