I took this photo at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Looking up into the immense tower was inspiring and I wanted to share that with as many people as I could.Time
It was late afternoon as it was nice and quiet after the schools had visited. The lighting was bright from the very top of the tower which helped with the effect.Lighting
The way that the lighting is so bright at the top gave a lovely glow effect that gradually faded down the tower. It made it feel quite mystical.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 500D. No other equipment, I just rested it on my face as I looked up into the tower. Not exactly a professional way to take a shot but I worked with what I had at the time.Inspiration
The way the tower made me feel was wonderful. It was as if I was a tiny person in a giants castle. The lighting was a great help and added to the feel.Editing
I do use Lightroom quite a lot with my landscape or forest/fungi shots but this picture was so simple in its entirety it didn't need anything doing to it.In my camera bag
My Canon EOS 500D, my mini bendable tripod, my 18 - 135mm lense and my 50mm lense. I have lense cleaners too, I usually take my photos in the woodlands so you have to be prepared. There may also be a bag of minstrels stashed in there for snack emergencies too.Feedback
For this particular shot I would say to just wait for a quiet time so you ensure a still shot without disturbance. A tripod would definitely have helped but work with what you have available to you.
