This was taken sometime in the afternoon. Somewhere around 3pm.Lighting
Not a whole lot to share. I was still a novice and knew nothing about lighting. This was me just throwing something against the wall and seeing if it worked.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D Mk II. The lens was the 70-300 kit lens that came with my T3i. And the flash was an Insignia one from Best Buy.Inspiration
This was taken with a photography workshop. There's actually a pretty good amount of behind me. I just happened to be standing in that spot and it was a good one for me to take the picture.Editing
I don't do a who lot. I mostly work in lightroom. I do some light processing in photoshop, but I'm still learning.In my camera bag
Usually my 5D Mk II and T3i. The T3i because I have a wide angle lens for that body. So that's my go to for landscape and street photography.Feedback
Just experiment. Move around and try to get shots at multiple angles. And take lots of shots. I didn't get this one on the first shot. There's probably 30 more that look just like this one. You're going to find, kind of like how I did, that you will take hundreds of shots. Then end up culling that down to like 10.
