Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in a field near my hometown, Cochin, Kerala, India.

Time

Early morning by 7.30 AM.

Lighting

This photo was lit by the rising sun from behind highlighting the hairs on the leaf and texture of the flower.

Equipment

Nikon D3200 Micro Nikkor 55 mm F/2.8 with 2X converter. Hand held without flash.

Inspiration

Wild flowers always fascinate me. The brightly colored flower backlit by the sun looked like a glittering jewel.

Editing

Lighting and vibrance adjusted in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

Nikon D3200, Micro Nikkor 55 mm f/2.8, Nikon 300mm F/4, 2X converter.

Feedback

Photographing backlit flowers would get very good results. Try not to over expose as that would tend to bleach the vibrant colours.
