This was taken around 7pm at sunsetLighting
ISO 200, Aperture Priority f4.2, 1/800Equipment
I used a Nikon D7100 with a Nikkor 18 - 140mm f35.5 - 5.6G ED VR lens. This shot was handheld and no flash was used.Inspiration
This was taken on a holiday long weekend very close to where my parents lived and whom I was visiting. I love taking photos of sunsets and this shot was one of the first I ever took with this camera which I only had owned for a few weeks at this stage (and was also my first DSLR camera).Editing
Slight cropping and clarity sharpening onlyIn my camera bag
I always have my Nikkor AF-S 18 - 140mm f35.5 - 5.6G ED VR lens and sometimes my 35mm or my AF-S 55 - 300mm 4.5 -5.6G ED VR lenses. I never leave home without cleaning gear as I tend to shoot a lot of water based scenes and need to clean the lenses often.Feedback
Get as near to the water as possible and also the lower the camera is positioned when taking the shot the better. As the sun sets lower use a slightly higher ISO setting.
