Location

Early MorningLighting
The lighting was light shadows as the sun had not yet climbed high enough to hit this area. This in turn tends to give the colors more saturation if exposed correctly.Equipment
A Nikon D-800 with a Nikon 28-300 mm lens.Inspiration
I wanted to show the tenacity of life as this tree growing right out of the rock with exposed roots.Editing
I usually shoot with the camera in manual mode as I like to control the light, shutter speed, ISO and the F-stop to get the camera to capture as close as possible to what my eye sees. I did add a little color saturation to make it pop.In my camera bag
My D-800, two to three lenses, lens hood, several batteries and lens cleaning gear.Feedback
Shoot in manual mode and try different F-Stops, shutter speeds and ISO settings to get you desired look.
