Location
l live on the westetn outskirts of Sydney, Australia and have for many years now enjoyed exploring the many wild and remote areas that are reasonably close. I particularly love to explore rivers, creeks , and when I get a chance, saltwater inlets in my kayak. My photo was taken while paddling upstream in a creek that leads up on it the blue mountains wilderness area. At the time I stopped for a breather.and drink and took the shot.Time
It was about 10.00 am. I had been paddling for about an hour and a half.Lighting
The day.was a perfect cloudless day and as I was shooting to the west I had the sun to my back right shoulder.Equipment
The shot was taken with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. This phone produces outstanding photos.Inspiration
The scenery, the atmosphere and the isolation. In the middle of the Bush with no other person around. Also even though you can't see it the clarity of the water.Editing
No I didn't.In my camera bag
In the kayak there is not a lot of room so I normally only carry the phone in a watertight case. I do also own a Nikon SLR 3300 Camera for land shots.Feedback
My advice is to rely on your own intuition. If a scene strikes you as attractive take the shot. Generally other people will feel an affinity with it too.
