Godafoss is one of the most epic waterfalls of Iceland.
My friend and I were sleeping in the rental car to be there for the sunrise, but sadly the sunrise didn't spark any fancy colors in the sky.
That being said, this vantage point is facing away from the sunrise.
Feeling like a proper pro, I walked down to the vantage point close to the waterfall. Once I had set up my composition I heard someone yelling. My immediate reaction was to crouch a little in case I was in someone's shot. The shouting didn't stop, but I couldn't really tell what was being shouted as the sound of the waterfall was really the only thing I could hear.
When my friend and I were done shooting from this side of the waterfall we met the angriest Icelandic male I've ever seen apart from maybe The Mountain from Game of Thrones.
His problem with me was that I had stepped outside the path and it was spring time in Iceland. I do get that, but in my defence there wasn't any clear path in the area and there were several footprints leading down to the vantage point I chose.
I do get that walking outside any path close to these attractions will ruin the vegetation, not because of what one person does, but I am not the first and I will not be the last to venture outside the designated path. I am sorry for my mistake and I won't be making it again and I hope that if you've bothered to read this text you'll learn from my mistake.
