Location
This photo was taken in my garden. I was pleased that my tomato plant started to produce, especially in the Arizona heat. I am a self taught photographer that loves to take photos of everything.Time
I was so proud of my first tomatoes, I ran into the house to get my full frame camera. It was early morning and I used the edge of a container as my tripod and a remote button.Lighting
I used a strobe because of the early morning light and I wanted adequate fill light.Equipment
This shot was taken with my Canon EOS 6D. I used my favorite lens a Canon 24 -70mm.... f 2.8 and a strobe.Inspiration
My beautiful tomato plant!Editing
Used advanced colors, I adjusted the shades of green. Last, I sharpened the photo 30 %.In my camera bag
I use a Lowepro single sling camera bag which I really like! I always carry spare memory, strobe and camera batteries, lens cleaner and my Canon strobe. Next, I have my Canon 50D Body and my full frame 6D. I usually have multiple cameras with different lenses, I don't want to take time to change a lens and chance missing a shot. I use Canon stabilized lenses, my 24 -70 mm f 2.8 and 28 - 135 zoom. P.S....Sometimes, I can talk my husband into carrying equipment.Feedback
Time of day...is very important. But, I do love rain for the quality of the photo. I plan my shots, angle, composition, adequate light and attempt to get the shot the first time. I use a remote to avoid movement. If I have no tripod, I find something to help stabilize the camera. I wrap the camera strap around my arm tight, hold my breath, or place the camera on anything solid to stabilize. I aim for clarity.
