I took this picture of a flower during a macro class at our local camera store. We are still in the middle of a drought and we were lucky enough to get a few showers. I took the opportunity to get a flower with dew on it.

I am just curious - and this is re the class and nothing to do with the image. Was this a 60mm lens? and what f stop is the lens?? For Macro, at least good Macro lenses, you are at least f2.8?? I don't understand why they would have you stop down a fine lens to f/32?? It does have a nice soft appearance if that is what the Teacher was going for?? I am only asking as I, along with you am learning - this way you can pass on the Professional knowledge. this is not a negative, just wanting to learn Mark. Best Regards, Gail

Yes this was my older Nikkor 60 mm f2.8 He had us trying a lot of things just to show us what you can do with one. He had reflectors and flashes and ringlights. I like the colors in this shot thats why I posted it. I have about 10 other shots of this same flower using different techniques. So it was to teach us what to do and what to expect. I over exposed , under exposed, messed up the focus , shot a 105 Macro , all in all it was informative. No promise of great pic during the class.
